The Nighthawks Release a New Live Concert Video/DVD

"It's Blues and It Rocks!"
A High Powered Performance by the World Renown Blues Act
and a Special Appearance by Legendary Blues Guitarist Hubert Sumlin

Washington, DC – The Nighthawks have released their first live concert video on DVD.  The newly released concert video captures the legendary blues act during a high powered performance in front of a packed crowd at The State Theater in Falls Church, Virginia.  The Nighthawks are also joined on stage for several songs by Howlin' Wolf guitarist Hubert Sumlin - also one of The Nighthawks' "musical heroes."  The video features a variety of songs that demonstrate The Nighthawks' wide-ranging repertoire - including several songs never before recorded by The Nighthawks.  While watching a live performance by The Nighthawks, one thing becomes clear: it's blues and it rocks!

Known for their high energy shows, this truly historic performance was captured on film and recorded using a mobile multi-track digital recording system. In post-production, the recording required no overdubs - clearly demonstrating the kind of high quality performance that is only possible from a tight, professional and talented group of musicians.

The Nighthawks' concert DVD was produced by Rolling Storm Communications Corporation, a Washington D.C. area production and communications company.  "As usual, The Nighthawks put on a great show - clearly demonstrating the benefits of playing together live so often," said Scott Norcross, Rolling Storm president and executive producer of the video.  "We enjoyed creating a product that will allow more people to experience the energy of a Nighthawks live performance" added Norcross.  "So many videos out there today consist of just a constant series of video cuts and effects.  Our goal was to produce a video that really focused on the music and on the performance," commented Dan Kohlmeier, creative and production consultant for the video.

The new DVD is available through The Nighthawks' website (http://www.thenighthawks.com/dvdInfo.htm), through a variety of online music retailers (e.g. CDBABY at http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/thenighthawksdvd), and via other retail outlets.  More information on the DVD can be found online at: http://www.thenighthawks.com/dvdInfo.htm.
